Learn about the micro details of sea organisms including the incredible leafy sea dragon and create your own watercolour illustration with guidance from scientific illustrator Dr Anna Voytsekhovich!Dates: 15 - 16 November 2025,

During the workshop you will learn all about Australian marine life with information on the key family groups and species. On the first day of the workshop we will study the morphology of selected marine organisms. For that we are going to use the dried specimen of a weedy sea dragon, a dwarf cushion sea star, seashells and other specimens. Using a microscope we will learn about microstructure of these organisms and then produce a detailed technical drawing. On day two we will create a watercolour illustration of your chosen specimen.
