Roam With Kids and Barefooted NZ are hosting 3 FREE nature play events at Shepard's Park in Beach Haven, for parents and caregivers to attend with their little roamies (0-5 but all ages welcome!).For parents with young babies, we will be weaving heuristic baskets for you to take home, and over the three sessions we will find and make things from materials in the park, that you can add to the basket to create a rich sensory resource for your little one.
We will also have a range of activities and invitations to play that toddlers and older kids can enjoy, all focused on engaging them with the natural world around them.
Activities will also focus on creating a sense of kaitiakitanga for our natural environment in a fun and interactive way.
