LITTLE JUKE
Little Juke are a fast-rising alternative indie outfit from the Midlands whose momentum has surged throughout 2025. Formed in early 2024, the band has quickly carved out a distinctive sound, blending atmospheric indie with driving rhythms and rich melodic detail, drawing comparisons to Radiohead, Arcade Fire and Foals.
This year has marked a breakthrough moment for Little Juke following the release of their debut album, Departures from the States of Mind, which gained critical acclaim across the globe. The record and its singles caught the attention of major tastemakers, with John Kennedy, Radio X, BBC Introducing and many others championing the band as ones to watch.
Their live reputation has grown just as rapidly. Known for energetic, tightly crafted sets, Little Juke have been building a loyal following at shows across the UK, including a landmark headline performance at Wolverhampton’s KK’s Steel Mill. As they continue to tour and reach new audiences, Little Juke are swiftly becoming one of the most exciting new bands emerging from the British alternative scene.
LOWRY
Way back at the turn of the century, a young Dudley band had the world at their feet and the future looked rosy. The songwriting partnership of the Stevens’ brothers was completed by Noad, Aston and Barret on bass, guitar and drums and the songs struck a chord with the movement and youth culture of the era. A small of army of local fans attended every gig. National radio play for the first e.p. “Hollywood’s most successful leading man” propelled them from JB’s and the Wulfrun to the dizzy heights of Noughties London. the Dublin Castle, the good mixer, the 100 club. Lowry went viral in analogue. Major label interest and a threat of superstardom.
And then it happened…
Ego, booze, drugs, sex and good old rock and roll cast the band asunder. With their goal so tantalisingly close and yet still so much to do, they imploded. The Stevens brothers went to different oceans to ply their trade, Aston went insane, Barrett went to Vietnam and Noad raised his family. More rock and roll casualties scuppered by the perils of almost getting it over the line. A tale as old as the blues and one all too familiar.
Except this one has a different coda…
in 2025, the Stevens brothers played a Lowry gig as a duo. They had fun again. They got drunk, they made up. they phoned the others with the idea that, twenty-five years after all the bullshit, maybe they could finish what they had started as lads. So, Barrett flew back from Vietnam, Aston gave his head a wobble and Noad, well, he was always the solid one. Is this a rock and roll story with a happy ending? Maybe as close as you can come. So in 2026, a quarter of a century after its composition, the debut album from Lowry will find an audience, old and new. Obviously, it’s been titled the lost post. Come and find out. Don’t believe the hype.
