Sara Jane Richter of Oklahoma Panhandle State University will lead a discussion of “Little House on the Prairie: by Laura Ingalls Wilder at 6:00PM on Thursday, March 27. The event will be held at Hutchinson Public Library at 901 N. Main St. Hutchinson, KS.
This is the second book in a three-part “The Great Plains Spirit” series. [Book Description].
Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder:
The Ingalls family leaves the Big Woods of Wisconsin and settles in the Indian territory of Kansas, a land of prairie fires, wolves, adventure, and startling beauty.
The Talk About Literature in Kansas (TALK) book discussion series is provided by Humanities Kansas (HK), a nonprofit cultural organization with over 40 years of experience promoting understanding of the history and ideas that shape our lives and build community. Sara Jane Richter is Emeritus Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and professor of English at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma. She received her Ph.D. in English from Oklahoma State University. Sara has taught courses on Native American literature, film, American western history, and literature of the American West.
