On January 13, we are swingin' back into the new year with Little Henry & The Laveers!Little Henry & The Laveers are a true 1950s band based right here in San Antonio, TX. Performing jump swing, rockabilly, vintage & modern swing, Little Henry & The Laveers have certainly made a name for themselves in our community. With their high-energy brass section, jiving percussion & sharp performance, they've truly become a fan favorite within our local scene. It's always a pleasure to have this band so if you've never had the chance to experience this band, let alone our Monday Night Swing, this is the perfect night for you! Ｅａｓｔ Ｃｏａｓｔ １
𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: TBA
𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This 6-count dance is where it all starts! This class is always available to you every Monday Night. East Coast 1 is perfect if you are new to swing dancing and want to begin your dance journey. This class will cover the main fundamentals to swing dancing such as basic posture, pulsing, weight transferring & core engagement.
Ｅａｓｔ Ｃｏａｓｔ ２
𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Torrey Duhaney (Instructor Follow TBA)
𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This is a more advanced class, once you have a firm grasp of the basics class and feel confident with the triple step, progress your knowledge with additional flourishes on your 6-count moves.

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Tracey Sloan & Devon Johnson
𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Collegiate Shag is a more fast paced, quick witted style dance. Shag is mostly meant for faster music as the dance both the lead & follow are essentially joint together from the mid torso on up. Shag is another 6 count style dance and it is known for its fast footwork, lively kicks, and lighthearted spins. It's similar to other jazz and swing era dances like the Charleston, Lindy Hop, and Balboa.
NOTE: While these classes are available each week, please know that it takes a great deal of personal commitment to improve on your dancing. This may include self practice, group practices or private lessons with any of our instructors. Growth requires pushing your limits & testing your potential. Dance is no exception to this rule. Each of our instructors began at the exact same place as you did!

🎷LIVE MUSIC & SOCIAL DANCE:
8pm-10pm
Our social begins at 8pm just after our weekly announcements. At 9pm we start our Jam Circle & Steal Circle dance! We normally have a Birthday dance on the 2nd Monday of every month! After our Jam & Steal circle dances we finish off the intermission with our Shim Sham! The band returns for the 2nd set at 9:15 to 10pm!
🧭 LOCATION:
The San Antonio Fire Fighter's Banquet Hall is located on the access road of West I-10 right next to the ramp that leads down from Medical Drive on the right side.
🚗 PARKING:
The SAFFBH parking can fit up to 100 vehicles. The parking lot is directly outside of the building on the left side. There is also additional parking on the right side.
🍺 𝐁.𝐘.𝐎.𝐁.
We have been given permission from the SA Firefighters Association to allow our guests to bring their own alcoholic beverages. Water bottles & sodas will remain for sale.
NOTE: We have the right to deny entry or to escort guests out of the premises if we feel they are above the legal intoxication limit, are disturbing the peace, or are attempting to serve alcohol to minors. Keep in mind that this is still an all-ages event and while we are allowing adults to bring their own beverages we must remind everyone to be responsible and follow the law.
