Growing Chefs! Ontario has proven itself as a leading organization in Ontario, creating and providing programming for schools, children, youth and families. All Growing Chefs! programs provide fun, hands-on learning opportunities designed to improve food literacy and an understanding of food systems.

Growing Chefs! has partnered with Childreach to bring the magic of gardening to your child's play! Children will learn about growing veggies, herbs and flowers, explore the role pollinators and worms play in our gardens, engage in hands-on sensory exploration, and end each program with a delicious garden snack. All necessary plants, tools, and gardening materials will be provided. This program is tailored to children 2-4 years old and their grown-ups.

Our program will consist of 5 individual sessions:

June 17th - Seeds 

July 15th - Worms

July 22nd - Pollinators

Aug 12th - Water

Aug 26th - Harvest party!

What To Expect:

To ensure a fun and safe visit for everyone, we kindly ask all visitors to wash and sanitize hands often. There will be many opportunities to get messy. Dress appropriately for the weather, as this program is rain or shine.
