Squirrels and chipmunks can be seen and heard scurrying everywhere from backyards to deep in the forest. Join Audubon to learn about the different members of the squirrel family, whether they are gray squirrels with fluffy tails or flying squirrels gliding from branch to branch. Figure out where these animals live and how they adapt as the seasons change. After a short hands-on lesson indoors exploring the body parts, diets, and homes of squirrels, chipmunks, and groundhogs, it is time to bundle up and head outside where you can look for signs of squirrels, including tracks, nests, and their leftover food.
