Music by Tess: Tess served as Director of El Sistema at Conservatory Lab, a music-infused K-8 public school in Boston, Massachusetts, where students play in an orchestra and receive daily music instruction. Prior to her role as music director, she developed and led their early childhood music program for six years.
Tess holds a B.S. from Boston University and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is also a graduate of the Perrone-Sizer Institute for Creative Leadership. As an educator and musician, Tess is an advocate for the power of the arts – their capacity to heal, build community, and activate agency.
