During our workshops, we encourage children to explore the natural world through planting seeds, growing plants and nature-themed crafts. There are so many benefits to introducing your Little Acorn to gardening at an early age such as thinking about their environment and developing social skills as they have fun together.It’s also the ideal way for children and guardians alike to make new friends!
During this activity we will be planting Spring Bulbs to help young children understand how plants grow from bulbs and how bees and butterflies help to pollinate plants and flowers. We will also decorate the flower pots and talk about the life-cycle of butterflies and the children will complete a craft to help them understand this.
All materials are provided and you will also be given some nature-friendly worksheets to take home with you.
After the activity the children will wind down with a juice, biscuit and a story or song.
