Litha celebrates the Summer Solstice when the sun reaches 0 degrees Cancer. It is the height of the sun, the longest day. This day marks the threshold between the Light and the Dark. From here on, the Sun will slowly lose its strength as the darkness takes over.Litha is also a celebration of abundance and life! The fruits are ripe and the first big harvest is approaching. So we gather to give thanks to the earth for her bounty, we laugh, sing, and play until the sun rests on its longest day. This is a time of great joy!
At our Litha Ritual, we are calling in the Hive. We are working with the bees and the Hive Mind. We will sit together in circle as we synchronize and vibrate together. We will leave offerings to the Melissa, Goddess Of The Bees and Honey, and finish with food and communion.
For this ritual, please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Broken Arrow Neighbors.
