The Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library (KVML), in partnership with the Literature of War Foundation, is proud to host a dynamic panel discussion titled “The Body, The State, and The Sentence: Who Gets to Tell the Story?” as part of KVML’s annual Banned Books Week programming. The event takes place at KVML on Sunday, October 5 at 2:00 PM and is free and open to the public.Moderated by Michael Jerome Plunkett (Executive Director of the Literature of War Foundation, host of the LitWar Podcast, and author of the forthcoming novel Zone Rouge) the panel brings together critically acclaimed authors whose work confronts issues of censorship, institutional power, and identity. Panelists include Joseph Earl Thomas (Sink, God Bless You, Otis Spunkmeyer), Matt Gallagher (Youngblood, Empire City), Natalie Lima (Letras Boricuas Fellow, Men Paid Me to Eat), and Steven Dunn (Potted Meat, water & power).
