Literary LagunaIntroducing Literary Laguna: Celebrating Local Authors
Facilitated by: Randy Kraft
Literary Laguna is a new program celebrating the vibrant voices of our community by showcasing both emerging and established writers. We kick off with writer Randy Kraft’s second collection of short stories, and fifth published work of fiction, which features the setbacks and second chances of later age.
Formerly a print journalist on the East Coast and after migrating west twenty years ago, she wrote for the Independent and Laguna Life and People, among others. Several of her short stories and essays have been published in recent years in literary magazines. Randy is also a retired marketing/communications professional, with ties to several Laguna Beach nonprofits. For ten years, she has published the OCbookblog, a recommended reading blog, and occasionally lectures on literature. Last year, she moderated a panel at the Susi Q on self-publishing, and she facilitates the annual Women’s History Month discussion program at the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center.
