Litera-purr: A Literary Cat Lovers Club is an open-invitation book and reading club that welcomes all feline enthusiasts!
If you adore kitties and simply can't resist a good book, this club is for you.
Join us to discuss and review your most loved (or most loathed) recent reads among fellow bookworms. We're not a traditional book club - we won't assign anything to read, instead we invite you to bring what you're currently reading, and maybe tell others how you're enjoying it (or maybe how you're not, uh oh). Curl up on one of our couches or benches with your nose in a book -- just make sure you have a free hand available for petting kitties! Also: feel free to bring along any well-loved books to swap and share with other club members (maybe you got some new books this holiday season and need to make room on the shelves).
As you look to unwind from the stresses of the holiday season, what better way than with a cup of tea, pastries, and the purring presence of adoptable kitties? Not only will you enjoy the company of these adorable feline friends and companionship of your fellow book lovers, but you'll also be supporting a nonprofit cat rescue.
Tickets: $15 each, fully donated to The Dancing Cat

The spark for this club came from three of The Dancing Cat's network of volunteers and allies; Anastasia, our lounge manager, and Leslie and Delanie, two of our amazing volunteers. Eager to help others find the joy of the lounge, they thought that inviting readers and book lovers into the welcoming space would be a great way to start.
