Welcome to Lit for Liberation!
Lit for Liberation was born out of Life Coach Audreyonna Sequale's love for books, journaling, and the desire to create and educate the community through reading. The goal of #LitForLib is to amplify systemically silenced voices and encourage journaling for deeper conversations about our monthly reads.
Join us on Thursday, January 9 from 6pm - 8pm for our very first book discussion centering Hood Wellness by Tamela J. Gordon.
As described by Essence, "In 'Hood Wellness,' Tamela J. Gordon pushes back against the wellness industry, uncovering ways for Black people to care for themselves even when there’s little money, support or resources."
Two study guides are created for our book of the month. One study guide focuses broadly on our monthly read while the second study guide goes further in depth. Each contains journal prompts related to themes in the book. For each session we will reference these guides for our discussion.
