Our annual Hammond House International Literary Festival will include a host of exciting events across North East Lincolnshire from Saturday 8th February 2025 and culminating in our Festival Finale and Award Ceremony on Wednesday 26th February 2025 at the University Centre Grimsby.
HAMMOND HOUSE AWARDS DAY
WEDNESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 2025
10.00am - 4.00pm
Highlight of the festival is the full day of literary activities on WEDNESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 2025 at the University Centre Grimsby including a Televised Awards Ceremony for the winners of the 2024 International Literary Prize and launch of the 2025 competition.
Spend the morning in the university centre corner lounge chatting to other writers and browsing the book fair. Book for a workshop or writers clinic, join the poetry corner, enjoy a tarot reading or even have your portrait done while enjoying some gentle music and figuring out the clues in the festival competition.
You can meet members of local writers groups including St James Writers and Grimsby Writers and find out more about their activities.
Find out how you can become a Fellow of the Royal Society for Art (FRSA) from Membership Spokesperson, Callum Bate.
You can buy a special 'Festival Edition ' of TIME, the 2024 anthology of short stories or the beautifully illustrated anthology of poetry. See if you can spot some of the authors and judges and collect their signatures on the pages as a unique memento of the day.

Find out about two exciting new competitions for children. The Jean Cooper-Moran Prize for Poetry and the Nick Louth Prize for Fiction.
You can also learn more about BILLBOARD SHOWCASE the exciting new programme to showcase the talent of six emerging artists: musicians, painters, writers, performers....... and support their journey towards a professional career, doing what they love.
WAR CHILD
Twelve local solo artists and bands will come together in a Band-Aid style programme to raise money for this charity that supports the heart-breaking plight of children in war zones across the world.
All the artists will perform together on a record for worldwide release and come together in the summer for a festival of music and a live performance of the song. Throughout the year they will perform their own interpretation of the song, raising money and awareness at their gigs for this deserving cause. Donate here
