Engage your senses on 'A More Perfect Circle' Listening Walk led by Daniel Neumann & Sari Carel, exploring urban & natural sounds.
About this Event

As part of Sari Carel's project "A More Perfect Circle" we're inviting you to take part in a Listening Walk between the two exhibition sites (Greenpoint Public Library and Lentol Garden). Daniel Neumann will guide the group on a slow tour to explore listening as an experiential, shared engagement with our immediate environment.

The underlying theme for this walk - in relation to the wider project - will be on the aural experience of different time scales within an environment. Listening creates a direct connection between the listener and the place in the present moment, and induces a heightened sense of awareness. This awareness in turn will help unlock other temporal layers: a passing moment, rush hour, late spring, the anthropocene, other cycles, the latest epoch, period, era, eon and the lifespan of a coffee cup.

Participation does not require any prerequisites, just a willingness to take part in this act of communal sensing.

Meeting Point: Greenpoint Public Library, 107 Norman Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222
