🌊Please join us for a special morning with artist and author Basia Irland on Saturday, October 18, at the Rio Grande Nature Center.Irland, founder of the Art and Ecology Program at UNM, will share an illustrated talk about her large-scale global projects—including A Gathering of Waters, her portable waterway “Repository” archives, and her hand-carved ephemeral Ice Books embedded with native seed texts and floated down rivers to aid riparian restoration.
Her work has been featured at SITE Santa Fe, the Santa Fe River, the Albuquerque Museum, and the New Mexico Art Museum. Following the talk, take part in an environmental stewardship project with New Mexico Wild.
