Listen Up Elora is an event for listening. Artists wear their hearts on their sleeves, and the audience willingly receives. While artists perform, the audience remains silent. Talking or use of phones during performances is not permitted. This ensures that artists and audiences connect in the moment and feel present. Each performance is video recorded, and will be released at the discretion of the artist.

Drawing from Newfoundland folk roots and contemporary jazz influences, Jessica Spurrell is a Toronto-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She is inspired by music that layers intricate, through-composed parts with thoughtful lyrics. Her compositions are also informed by an interest in recording technology. Jessica's debut EP, A Blessing, A Pearl, explores queer adolescent heartache through tender lyrics, woodwinds, harp, strings, and synth.

The voice of Rick St. Clair resonates with the weight of a heart-worn and weathered soul. His songs reflect on his life’s joys and hardships, and give voice to quiet truths. His musical senses take root in the introspective lyricism of yesteryear’s folk, and the melancholic melodies of country and blues. Rick weaves a sonic tapestry of his own.
