Come learn about the new statewide recycling rules! Aimee Thompson from Thompson’s Sanitary Service will be giving a comprehensive review of Oregon’s Recycling Modernization and Plastic Pollution Act passed in August 2021 and launched in July 2025. It includes an expansion of statewide recycling, and the financial role of the packaging producers outlined in this law. Aimee has a unique perspective as she served as of one of two waste hauler representatives on the Recycling Modernization Act rule making session #2; volunteering 30+ hours over several months of public meetings.Listen and Learns are free and all ages are welcome!
