Join me at Apollo Hall Lismore on the 2nd Friday of the month for a deeply relaxing Deep Sound Immersion.Bringing together gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, medicine drum, voice and other vibrational instruments, Heidi leads this deep sound meditation.
Each session starts with a breath meditation to allow you to let go and come into the space of healing. This may include stretching the body and voice as we tap into the power of our own sounds to release stress and promote self healing.
This is followed by deeply relaxating 45 minute sound bath, allowing you to relax, release and renew with the vibrations of the gongs, singing bowls, medicine drum, voice and other instruments.
Studies looking into the effects of sound immersion have shown the healing effects of sound. Participants are able to enter a state of deep relaxation, allowing the release of stress and enter a state where self healing is possible. Research has shown that sound meditation can:
- Activate the parasympathetic nervous system and allow stress to release
- Create a sense of peace and calm
- Reduce anxiety and depression
- Reduce physical and psychological pain
- Increase efficiency
- Improve memory
Recent studies have realised that through stimulating the vagus nerve sound is actually stimulating our internal organs. The state of deep relaxation that is activated through the sound bath also releases the stress response, letting you go into a space of deep mind and body healing.

Please bring a mat, blanket and anything else to allow to relax in comfort (some mats are available at the venue if you don't have one) and water to drink.
