Fast ’n Funny takes the artist on a focused journey of joy through humor, from silent clown, through improvisation and scripted materials. Comedy is serious business, as Michael Chekhov says in To the Director and Playwright: "A serious attitude toward the psychology of each character must be maintained, especially when playing comedy.”
Lisa Dalton, certifying master teacher for the National Michael Chekhov Association, returns to Brussels to offer an exciting exploration into the art of comedy. After being told by a director that she would never be funny “because you just weren’t born with it!”, Lisa used the Chekhov technique to develop a career as a professional clown/comedienne for a decade and directed a sit-com TV pilot in Hollywood. Lisa choose to keep teaching Chekhov over her sit-com directing career and now is your opportunity to pick up some serious Chekhov comedy tools.
