ABSTRACT
Effective liquid handling is essential for maintaining safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant mining operations. This presentation will explore key lessons learned from various mining projects, focusing on the practical aspects of pump selection, system design, filtration strategies, and overall water management approaches.
We will examine real-world challenges, analyzing what worked, what didn’t, and how different factors influence decision-making. Discussion topics will include strategies for moving and managing water, selecting equipment suited to specific site conditions, and balancing performance with cost-effectiveness. By looking at a range of approaches used in past projects, we will highlight key considerations that can impact efficiency and long-term sustainability.
We are excited for the opportunity to share insights, experiences, and the practical realities of liquid handling in mining. Through lessons learned and real-world examples, we aim to foster discussion and provide perspectives that may help others navigate similar challenges in their own operations.
