Our 'Lions Toast' Whisky Taste - Nov 15th Carlton House Club In Aid of Motor Neurone Disease. On the night, we’ll be looking at the massive rise in whisky prices recently and the different ways people are investing in the industry. Sadly, the scammers are increasingly active in the arena and we will be covering the things people need to consider before handing over significant sums of money. Price is £35 a ticket for 7 drams (from around 20 different bottles), a meal which will be well received by any Glaswegian but not sure if it was common pub grub in the Borders (you know John's roots) with the ticket price including a £5 refundable deposit for a Glencairn Crystal Tasting Glass. Anyone wanting to keep their glass for posterity is welcome to do so. Lions will be raising funds for Motor Neurone Disease Association - so we are keen to have a good turn out for the event
