About this course

Working from a pre chosen image, (drawing, design or photograph) participants will learn to carve an A5 linocut and how to print a small edition of original colour prints.

This course will cover a multi block technique where the carved block design remains for you to print again and again.

Using the professional quality equipment and materials at Carousel Print Studio, participants will learn how to register and print by hand.

Participants will leave with their hand carved printing block and own original artworks ready to frame!

This course is suitable for beginners or those who have done single colour linocut and would like to extend their knowledge.

We will also cover how to continue producing linocut prints at home.

What will I need to bring?

All materials and equipment will be provided.

Please bring an idea of an image or design to draw from or trace.

Your design should fit within an A5 rectangle.

High contrast images work best.

If you are copying a design please check the copyright.

Please wear old clothes as printing can get messy. Aprons will be provided.

You may wish to bring a packed lunch. Teas, coffee and biscuits are provided.
