Create your own Christmas cards on our festive themed card printing workshop.
On this workshop you’ll carve your own lino printing block and learn how to use the inks, tools and equipment to make festive lino printed cards. Perfect to send your friends and family a unique handmade card this Christmas!
What experience do I need?
This is an introduction to the lino printing technique. The workshop is aimed at complete beginners, no experience is necessary.
What will I make?
You will produce an edition of at least 10-15 hand printed Christmas cards and will take these away along with envelopes. You’ll also be able to take your carved lino piece away with you to continue printing with at home if you wish.
Who is my tutor?
Laura Alice is a printmaker and illustrator specialising in screen print and linocut on paper. Her work is heavily inspired by nature with a particular focus on birds using vibrant colours. Laura values the hand-made in her work, focusing on creating hand-drawn positives for screen print to create rich textures and contrast. Laura has been a long-standing member of Leeds Print Workshop and has 11 years of experience teaching across a variety of art and design disciplines.
