Come and join us at Sheffield Plate for a Lino Printing Workshop!
Lino printing is a form of fine art printmaking where the printing plate is cut into lino (as in linoleum, the floor covering). The lino is then inked, a piece of paper is placed over it and pressure is applied by hand/with a brayer, to transfer the ink to the paper. The result is a linocut print!
In this workshop, you be taken through the lino printing process, creating your own lino block that then can be used to create your own greeting cards or postcards. You can take your lino block home and use it again.
DATE & TIME : Thursday 15th August 2024, 7pm - 9.30pm (please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start time)
