About this Event
We have invited artist Sally Jennings to lead this workshop, which is suitable for beginners, to make a Linocut picture using easy-to-carve soft lino (not the stiff, hessian-backed linoleum you may remember from school!).
Initially practise and experiment making different marks using cutting tools. Then Sally will guide you through the process of creating your own unique printing block using the garden and/or pictorial reference material as inspiration for your design.
Sally will have image transfer paper to use if you wish to copy a picture. We will use washable acrylic-based printing inks to create your piece on fine quality art paper.
You will be supported throughout the process and we are hoping that you will feel inspired to carry on printing!
Cost: £90 to include a delicious vegetarian lunch.
