They are pursuing an MSc in Event Management at Surrey University, a program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to create, manage, and deliver successful events.
This course covers key areas such as event planning and operations, marketing and sponsorship, risk and crisis management, and sustainable event strategies. They engage in practical projects, industry collaborations, and hands-on event experiences as part of our studies. This includes working on real-world events, engaging with industry professionals, and exploring the latest innovations in event technology. Through this course, they gain expertise in organising corporate events, festivals, conferences, and community initiatives. Their focus is on creating meaningful and impactful experiences that align with strategic objectives, enhance audience engagement, and deliver measurable success.
Currently, they are organising the LinkedIn Local Event at Wates House Green Room, where they are applying the skills they have learned in event planning, coordination, and marketing. This experience allows us to enhance our practical skills while collaborating with industry experts and gaining valuable networking opportunities.
