About this Event
Our third concert of the season will highlight the enduring impact of Bach on generations of composers through teacher, student and family connections. Our evening will begin with the extraordinary Peggy Pearson playing Bach’s Concerto for Oboe d’amore. The program will then trace Bach’s musical influence through the centuries and include some lesser known works by Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel and Clara Schumann, as well as a new adaptation of From the Gut by violinist and composer Shaw Pong Liu. We will end with a new piece by the next generation of young musicians–the students of Winsor Music’s Opus 1 project. This is our second annual Lineage concert and a special event that beautifully highlights the powerful generational connections between artists.
