Tämä kurssi on suunnattu lindy hopia jo pidempään harrastaneille tanssijoille. Kurssi on sinulle, jos peruskuviot, kehonhallinta ja rytmissä pysyminen sujuvat jo luontevasti ja haluat kehittää tanssiasi entisestään. Pohjaksi tälle kurssille sopii hyvin esimerkiksi lindy hop keskitaso tai keski-edistyneet, mutta kurssilta saavat haastetta ja hauskanpitoa myös edistyneen tason tanssijat.Kurssilla on 2 valmennuskertaa lauantaina ja sunnuntaina 21.-22.10.2023 klo 13.45-15.15 (2 x 90 min). Kurssi järjestetään Åshöjdens peruskoululla, 2. krs juhlasalissa (Sturenkatu 6, Helsinki).

Tällä kurssilla Minn Vo johdattaa sinut LA (Los Angeles) style ts. Hollywood style lindy hopin saloihin.
Minn Volla on yli 25 vuoden kokemus swing tansseista. Hänen tanssiuransa alkoi vuonna 1997. Hänen lajejaan ovat jazz roots, lindy hop, charleston, balboa, collegiate shag. Minn on Los Angelesissa toimivan tanssiryhmän "The Hollywood Hotshots" perustaja. Hän on ammattimaisesti koreografoinut/tanssinut elokuva-/televisio-/teatteriproduktioissa Channing Tatumin, Pinkin, Selena Gomezin, Jon Favren, Sofia Vergaran, Sian, Katy Perryn, Brian Setzerin, Caravan Palacen, Post Modern Juke Boxin ja Kardashiansin kanssa. Myös Minnin tuntemus akrobatiasta on vertaansa vailla, ja hän hyödyntää rikasta asiantuntemusta, jota on hiottu vuosien opiskelulla Frankie Manningin johdolla. Minn Vo on aktiivinen Hollywoodin stuntman, joka on yhdistänyt liikkeen, akrobatian ja ajoituksen harjoittelun tulokset tanssilattialle.

Karolina Chrapkova opettaa swing tanssilajeja Kööpenhaminan Happy Feet Studiossa. Hänen tanssitaitonsa – baletti, latinalaistanssit, jive, cha-cha, salsa, rumba sekä charleston, collegiate shag, balboa, lindy hop, soolojazz ja boogie – sekä tietämys auttavat sinua lisäämään kehosi tietoisuutta ja kauniin luonnollista vartalon kannatusta.
Valmistaudu upeaan oppimiskokemukseen. Minn ja Karolina odottavat innolla voivansa jakaa tietonsa kanssasi.
Tunnille kannattaa varustautua mukavin matalakantaisin tanssikengin, jotka ovat ainakin hieman luistavat. Ota mukaan myös oma vesipullo.
Kurssin opetuskieli englanti.

Kursseille osallistumisen edellytyksenä on, että Cometsin jäsenmaksu 25 € on maksettu. (Jäsenmaksu lähetetään sinulle erikseen ilmoittautumisen jälkeen, mikäli tämän vuoden jäsenmaksua ei ole vielä peritty sinulta.)
Ilmoittautuminen: Voit ilmoittautua kurssille yksin tai parin kanssa. Kaikki ilmoittautuneet otetaan ensiksi jonoon. Päästämme kurssille yksin ilmoittautuneita jonosta ilmoittautumisjärjestyksessä siten, että viejiä ja seuraajia on suunnilleen tasamäärä (±2), ja parin kanssa ilmoittautuneet sen jälkeen, kun kummatkin parista ovat ilmoittautuneet. Vaikka kurssin tiedoissa näkyy olevan jonossa useampi henkilö useamman päivän ajan, kannattaa silti ilmoittautua kurssille. Jonossa olevien määrä ei tarkoita sitä, että kurssi olisi täynnä.
Kurssipaikka on henkilökohtainen, eikä sitä voi luovuttaa toiselle henkilölle. Ilmoittautuminen on heti sitova ja kurssipaikan vahvistuksen yhteydessä muodostuu lasku.
Kurssille on rajallinen määrä paikkoja. Kurssi toteutetaan, mikäli minimiosallistujamäärä täyttyy viimeistään viikko ennen kurssin alkua.
Lasku: Maksathan kurssin laskun vasta eräpäivänä. Mikäli kurssi perutaan, voit jättää laskun maksamatta.

This course is aimed for more experienced lindy hoppers. This course is for you if you already feel comfortable with all the basic dance patterns, body control and rhythm and wish to further improve your dancing. If you have taken an intermediate or intermediate-advanced lindy hop course earlier, it offers a good foundation for this course but also even more experienced dancers will find challenge and enjoyment on this course.
The workshop has 2 lessons on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd October 2023 at 13:45-15:15 (2 x 90 min). The course takes place in Åshöjdens grundskola, 2nd floor ballroom (Sturenkatu 6, Helsinki).

Minn Vo has over 25 years of experience in swing dancing. His dancing career began in 1997, proficient in Vernacular Jazz, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Air Steps and Collegiate Shag. Minn is the founder of “The Hollywood Hotshots,” a Los Angeles based dance company. He has professionally choreographed/danced in film/television/stage productions with Channing Tatum, Pink, Selena Gomez, Jon Favre, Sofia Vergara, Sia, Katy Perry, Brian Setzer, Caravan Palace, Post Modern Juke Box and the Kardashians. Drawing from his rich expertise, honed through years of studying under the caliber of Frankie Manning, Minn’s insight to the art of aerials is unparalleled. Minn Vo is also an active Hollywood stuntman.

Comfortable, slippery, flat dancing shoes or shoes with a small flat heel are recommended. Also bring your water bottle.
We will rotate partners during the lessons.

You also need to pay Comets membership fee 25 €. It will be sent to you as a separate invoice.
Registration: You can register for the course with or without a partner. All registrants will be put in the queue first. We let people without a partner from the queue in the registration order so that there are about equal number of followers and leaders (±2), and those with registration partner after both of them have registered themselves. Even if the course information shows that several people are in the queue for several days, it is still worth signing up for the course. The number of people in the queue does not mean that the course is full.
The spot on the course is personal and it cannot be given to another person. Registration is immediately binding and an invoice will be generated upon confirmed registration.
The maximum number of participants to this course is limited. The course will only be held if the required minimum number of participants signs up for the course at least a week before the course starts.
