Lindy hop is a lively dance that originated in Harlem in America in the 1940s with roots in Charleston Dance. Lindy Hop is a unique dance which also allows individual interpretation, bringing enormous fun, both to dance and to watch. It can be a partner dance but also has set dances called strolls that are often danced as a group. Strolls are individual jazz dances that are great fun with lots of energy and musicality. No partner or experience is required. The strolls have been adapted for these sessions to include a chair version, wheelchair etc and will be suitable for any audience. It’s suitable for families but young children would need to be supervised at all times.
