9 mile speed march (simulation of the RM Commando test). Mainly back country roads with some off-road and woodland paths. 800ft of elevation gain. We shall start with the shortest people at the front and tallest at the back. Boots, trousers and suitable winter clothing. Spare clothing, warm kit, 1st Aid Kit etc to make up the maximum of 30lbs (equivalent to 21lbs of webbing and a 9lb SA80). However, there will be no scales so if you wish, you can carry less. In addition you must carry and consume 1-2 litres of water (depending on weather and your requirements) and any snacks.
Done as a troop - pace set by the slowest person. Anyone gets injured then I’m sure the rest will get you back safe #leavenoonebehind.
As a training guide looking at 1hr 45mins in total including the forced 2 x 2min water stops at 3 & 6 mile RV’s.
