Building on the great planting work completed at Te Pae O Ahuriri, we invite you to join us planting 1,000 seedlings just a few hundred metres downstream at the Te Motu Huritini (Halswell Island) this August. Start time 10am - note there is an 8 minute walk along the Little River Rail Trail from Neills Rd to get to the planting site. We'll finish up before 3pm depending on numbers of volunteers.
Bring - Sturdy shoes or gumboots, warm clothing and your friends or family. Lunch if you need more than a sausage sizzle.
We provide - Spades, clean gloves, morning and afternoon tea, planting instruction and a sausage sizzle.
