Bobby Gadoury is a piano instructor and classically trained pianist who has been performing, professionally, in a variety of settings from intimate music venues and cocktail lounge spaces to large-scale public events, fairs, business and corporate functions, church ceremonies, weddings, concert halls, museums, art galleries, assistant living facilities, schools and universities for over 20 years. Bobby is best-known for a smooth and esoteric mix of jazz, swing, blues, and popular standards providing a relaxed and elegant Piano Lounge experience. His piano style is influenced by the great jazz masters Oscar Peterson, Dave McKenna, and Mr. Rogers' pianist Johnny Costa. Classical influences include Chopin and Bach. Regarding McKenna, Bobby holds him as a formidable influence on his personal piano technique specifically the "left hand bass". Bobby is recognized for his skill at "orchestrating" while at the piano creating a "one man band" effect due to his talent on bass. His voice tonality, while unique, is an allusion to Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, and contemporary John Legend. He is deeply rooted in the Great American Songbook as expressed through the Big Band Era and Midcentury Crooners. His favorite vocalists of the time including Sinatra are Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, and Bobby Darin. Regarding Mr. Rogers, it was on television that Bobby first heard, not knowing, the music of Johnny Costa - a high level and elegant brand of jazz pianism that would be the seed to Bobby's musical personality. Bobby is a private student of Dr. Paul Barnes at UNL.
