About this Event
Lime Slam 2024 offers a unique opportunity to delve into the merits and methodologies of traditional hot-mixed lime pointing mortars, renders, and sheltercoats. This event will feature:
- Hands-on demonstrations of hot mixing lime mortar, stone replacements, and lime pointing mortars.
- A presentation by Alex Blades on the ongoing St. Marie Among the Hurons project.
- A presentation by Ken Trischuk (Technical Officer – NRC-Construction) about performance monitoring of hot lime mortars installed on the Papineau Chapel in Montebello Quebec at the 2017 APT Ottawa conference.
- Networking with conservation masons and heritage material consultants.
