ABOUT THE EXHIBIT"A meeting of materials and minds, of carving and creating,
of artists in dialogue— visible now through the sculptures they brought to life."
Lilok at Likha: Sculptural Dialogue takes its name from two words that define the essence of sculpture. Lilok speaks of carving, shaping, and molding—of the slow, deliberate process of bringing form out of raw material. Likha speaks of creation itself—of ideas made tangible, of imagination given weight and presence.
This exhibition was born from that duality. What began as a simple gathering of sculptors soon unfolded into a series of open, honest conversations. As contemporary masters, award-winning artisans, and promising new voices came together, their stories, techniques, and perspectives intertwined. What they shared in those moments became the unseen foundation of this show.
Here, the sculptures do more than stand alone—they continue the dialogue that shaped them. Each work carries echoes of the discussions that inspired it: reflections on craft, debates on form, memories of mentors, quiet insights exchanged between artists who found common ground in their differences.
Lilok at Likha
becomes a fitting title because these pieces are not only carved (lilok) and created (likha)—they are also shaped by the community. They are artworks transformed by conversation, evolving from individual ideas into a collective sculptural language.
