Safely build your cycling confidence with Pedal Ready and the University of Sheffield Parking & Sustainable Travel team via a guided ride.
You’ll be surprised at how pedal-friendly Meadowhall Shopping Centre has become. Our seasoned cycle instructors at Pedal Ready will shepherd a flock of us to Meadowhall. Soak up some beautiful nature and beef up your quads on route. This trip leaves the Arts Tower then winds safely though the city centre and over the River Don on to the Meadowhall Cycle Hub (for some potential refreshments). The route then doubles back on itself and returns to the Arts Tower. The full ride (including return) is approximately eleven miles but crosses some moderate hills, so a medium level of fitness will be required. The attached image of the outbound route is approximate and may change at the ride leader’s discretion.
Cycling is an inexpensive way to travel and its fitness benefits are considerable.
University hybrid bikes are available to borrow for this event. Contact [email protected] prior to the ride to check the availability of a suitable bike/helmet. Riders are encouraged to dress sensibly and wear sunscreen if it's hot.
