Focussing on the pressing need for affordable and sustainable housing in Europe and the new political momentum on this subject in the new EU institutions’ term, the event will explore how gypsum-based lightweight construction solutions can help addressing the issue.

The event will feature a moderated discussion with key representatives from the EU institutions, industry and stakeholder representatives. We look forward to a fruitful discussion on shaping an effective EU housing construction policy supporting citizens and local industries. Which direction should the EU institutions take? What are the major components of a successful housing policy?

Additionally, we are excited to award the winners of our Biodiversity Photo Contest, showing concrete examples from Europe’s gypsum quarries of how securing local raw materials can go hand in hand with supporting ecosystems.

The event will be followed by a networking reception with food and drinks.
