Operation Turkey and Lightnin Bar have partnered together for this year's Chili Cook-Off Benefitting Operation Turkey Elgin. Spice up your day and join us for the ultimate Chili Cook-Off, all for a great cause! 🌶️🍲 Whether you're a master chef or just a chili lover, this fun-filled event promises delicious bites, friendly competition, and loads of laughs. Contestants will bring their best chili recipes to the table, battling it out for the title of "Top Chili Champion" 🏆.
But it’s not just about the heat—100% of the proceeds go directly to Operation Turkey, helping to provide meals for those in need this Thanksgiving. So, grab a spoon, a big appetite, and some friends, and get ready to dig into some chili goodness while giving back to the community.
Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Plus: People's Choice Award! Come and vote for you favorite Chili!

Chili Preparation:
- All chili must be prepared and cooked at home. Contestants should bring their chili in a crockpot, ready to serve.
- Participants can use any ingredients they wish—there are no restrictions on meat, beans, or spice levels (unless otherwise specified).
Crockpot Requirements:
- Each contestant must bring their own crockpot with sufficient servings for the event. A 4-6 quart minimum is recommended.
General Information:
- Contestants should arrive by 1:30pm to setup and be ready to serve by 2pm.
Table, chair, and power source provided
- Contestant can provide any toppings or side (crackers/cornbread/etc) to accent their chili.
- Judging will take place at 3pm
- Winner will be announced at 5:30pm
