Never ‘duh duuuh… duh duh’, this is impure heterodox rhythm and blues, catchy, energetic, exciting, foot-stomping originals with a few classics thrown in, at times joyful, at times soulful.
⚡️Inspired by the blues masters of 20thC Black America, the Sheffield band add a hint of late 1960s classic rock, producing a sound compared to Gary Clarke Jr, Rory Gallagher, Cream, The Doors, Santana, early Fleetwood Mac, and The Black Keys.
⚡️Their debut album ‘Off That Lonely Road’ was nominated for UK Blues Federation album of the year, with tracks featured on Cerys Matthews 6Music Show and two Joe Bonamassa playlists.
⚡️Lightning Threads have taken to stages alongside the likes of Chantal McGregor, Darnell Cole, Tom Killner, and McHale’s Permanent Brew, as well as Colne and Dereham Blues Festivals, and legendary venues such as The Leadmill, Greystones, Cluny, Le Steelies, Coulsdon, Temperance, and Joe Joe Jim’s.
