Mentally feel lighter. Inspired by Yung Pueblo’s book Lighter, Andrea will guide us through this slow-flow yoga series and offer tools to begin to let go of the past, connect with the present, and expand into the future.
In Lighter, Yung Pueblo demonstrates how we can all move forward in our healing, from learning self-compassion to letting go to becoming emotionally mature. As the heaviness falls away, our minds will finally stop feeling overburdened with tension, and we’ll be able to reconnect with the present.
These teachings are intertwined into a vinyasa-style slow-flow yoga practice in this four-session series. We will start each class with breathwork and meditation to bring us all into the present moment, followed by a reading from Yung Pueblo on topics such as self-love, healing, letting go, and emotional maturity. We’ll move into a slow-flow practice focusing on self-connection with the movement of the body in conjunction with the breath.
There will be time at the end of each class for the option to share reflections about your lived experience both on and off the mat, and journal prompts will be provided to ponder over the days between each class. While reading the book Lighter is not required, it is highly encouraged for the full series experience.
We invite you to come ready to learn about yourself, be willing to trust the process and be open to the possibility of discovering a deeper understanding of yourself in order to help you make impactful changes in the world around you.
