The Make A Way Foundation, along with Autism Infinity and Fitting the Pieces, is hosting our annual lighting of the courthouse square "blue" to celebrate and recognize our awesome autistic students and citizens. We will have a bounce house with a foam pit, balloon show, pizza, drinks, snow cones, music (not loud), and more! The Athens Fire Department will have a truck, Athens Police will have a car, and the Sheriff's Department will have their autism vehicle on site as well. We will also be announcing the winner of the awesome guitar signed by the Kentucky HeadHunters being given away by JM's Jouney. Look for post on how to buy your chances to win! At six o'clock Mayor Marks and Commissioner Daly will present proclamations stating that April is Autsim Acceptance month for the city of Athens and the entire Limestone County. Please make plans to attend and show support for our loved ones affected with autism and that their typical student peers and others in the community care about them and their families. It will be a fun afternoon and look forward to seeing everyone there! In case of inclement weather, this event will be canceled due to rain, so please follow our post to check on event availability.
