This year, we’ve partnered with True Vine Brewing Company to make Light the Way 5K even bigger and better! This event isn’t just a run—it’s a movement to shine a light on mental wellness, suicide prevention, and community support. Together, we’re fostering hope, awareness, and resiliency while making meaningful connections.
More Than a Run—An Experience That Inspires
After crossing the finish line, stay for live music and an inspiring speaker session featuring:

🎸 CAPPS/S.O.L. Band (Southern Rock/Covers)
🎤 Featured Speaker: Romereo Brown, founder of Weird & Different
As seen on Shark Tank, Romereo turned his personal struggles into a movement, building his brand to inspire strength, self-expression, and resiliency.
🏆 Prizes for the Top 3 Kid’s Dash & 5K Finishers will be awarded on stage after the run!
💪 Stretch Zone will be on-site offering a pre-run stretch area to help participants warm up.
🏥 Athletic Trainers from CHRISTUS will provide free medical care at their event tent.
