✨The District invites the community to its annual Light the Park ceremony! Come join us as Santa Claus himself flips the switch and turns on the lights in Washington Park.⭐️The free event, presented by TNT Golf Car & Motorsports and Craig Industries, is scheduled for Saturday, November 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the park.
✨We've got more lights and more activities than ever before! Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, and food and drink for purchase from Shots Fired Coffee and Platt Daddy BBQ.
⭐️Lyons Pride will spin some festive tunes before and after The Low Brass Ensemble from the Quincy Concert Band plays in the gazebo. Dancers from the Vancil Performing Arts Center will lead the way as Santa arrives on his sleigh. The band will play at 5:30 p.m. and Santa will arrive a bit after 6.
✨Take pictures in our selfie/photo area complete with large character cut outs and snow globe. The Grinch and characters from Square Peg Group Troupe will be wandering about, too.
⭐️Bring a new, unwrapped toy(s) to donate to Toys for Tots, they will have a table set up, and be entered to win one of two $30 gift certificates to The District! The winners will be announced that night at 7 p.m.!
✨More opportunities to donate to great causes and win fun prizes are coming from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec 5, 12 and 19 when Santa returns to his home in Washington Park.
