It’s that time again — on Thursday 4th December, our big Christmas tree goes up in the courtyard, and we’re inviting everyone down to help light it up!Join us for a fun afternoon that’s all about community, kids and kicking off the silly season together. There’ll be a sausage sizzle (with all proceeds supporting Southern Peninsula Community Support), a Christmas craft corner and a family photo station with Photographer Katherine Jamison to capture those magic and more often comical Christmas card moments.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll gather everyone for a big community photo under the tree as we light it up — a snapshot of Red Hill coming together to welcome the season.
Parents can relax under the gums with a drink from the outdoor bar while the kids eat, play and get creative. No cooking, no stress, just easy fun and proper Christmas spirit.
Based in Rosebud, Southern Peninsula Community Support is on the front line of rising need — providing food relief, family support and homelessness outreach — and they’ve seen a 33% increase in demand in the past year. Our support as a community has never been more needed, or more gratefully received. The festive season is a time of celebration for many, but it can also be the hardest time of year for a rapidly growing number of families on the Peninsula.
We’ll be collecting Christmas donations to help those doing it tough — things like festive treats, puddings, shortbread, chocolates, popcorn, long-life custard, and Kmart gift vouchers. Please bring your gift unwrapped and place it under the tree, and we’ll deliver it all to Southern Peninsula Community Support.
No bookings, no fuss, just good food, good company, and that Red Hill magic.
