About this Event
Light → Chemistry → Image: Sun Prints & the Science of Light
In this hands-on workshop, participants explore how sunlight can trigger chemical change and create permanent images—without ink, screens, or cameras. Using the historic cyanotype process, students investigate how light interacts with matter through guided experimentation and observation.
Participants will design their own sun-print compositions, make predictions about exposure and materials, and observe how time and sunlight shape the final image. The workshop emphasizes scientific thinking, creativity, and curiosity, blending chemistry, physics, and art in an accessible and engaging format.
All materials are provided, and each participant will take home their own blue sun prints.
This workshop is designed for curious learners ages 6 and above.
