Workshop Outline
This workshop is a practical and experience-based introduction to professional jewelry photography, focusing on both the creative and commercial sides of the industry.
Participants will learn:
• How to light gold, diamonds, and gemstones correctly
• Camera, lens, and shooting techniques for jewelry
• Avoiding reflections and common mistakes in jewelry photography
• Shooting for e-commerce, social media, and campaigns
• Styling basics and visual storytelling for jewelry
• Introduction to professional retouching workflow
• How jewelry photography impacts branding and sales
The workshop is designed for photographers with a good understanding of lighting, camera settings and lenses
About Instructor
Gasser Murda is an internationally published fashion and jewelry photographer with over 15 years of professional experience.
He started his photography journey in 2007 and became a professional in 2010. Gasser was the first Egyptian photographer to have his work published internationally before gaining recognition locally.
He has worked with global brands, international artists, and luxury jewelry designers across different markets. Known for his signature lighting style and attention to detail, his work focuses on high-end commercial and editorial photography for fashion and jewelry brands.
In addition to his professional career, Gasser has mentored and taught many photographers, helping them develop both their creative vision and business mindset.

Important note:
- Attendance is important: students must attend at least 75% of the workshop to receive a certificate from Photopia.
- Full fees should be paid by 21 January 2026.
- Payment confirms your registration. If you do not pay before the deadline, your registration is not valid.
Refund Policy:
Before 48 hrs of the course: full refund
Within 48 hrs: 50% refund
After the course starts: no refunds
In case of a refund, a 40 EGP bank fee will be deducted if the bank account is not with CIB.
If the workshop is canceled or not completed by Photopia, the full amount will be refunded with no deductions.

Registration & Acceptance Process:
Portfolios are reviewed by the workshop instructor, and selected participants are notified.
Accepted participants receive payment details and a deadline (usually five days before the workshop).
Once payment is completed, participants are added to a WhatsApp group up to two days before the workshop starts.
