Rochester Community Concert Band presents ‘Lift Your Voices’
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., Nov. 3 — The Rochester Community Concert Band will present their ‘Lift Your Voices’ concert on Tuesday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Avondale High School Auditorium, 2800 Waukegan, Auburn Hills, 48326. The concert is open to the public and free to attend. Donations are gratefully accepted and appreciated.
The RCCB will join with the “Rochester Community Chorus” directed by Daniel Greig, and the “Choral Union of Rochester University” directed by Dr. Joe Bentley for a wonderful evening of holiday music.
Music to be performed include, “Hark! Those Bells are Smokin’” by Julie Giroux, “Whisper to their Souls” by Sam Hazo, “We Wish You a Klezmer Christmas” by Lauren Bernofsky, “Russian Christmas Music” a staple in Wind Band literature, by Alfred Reed, “Gloria in Excelsis from Lux: The Dawn from on High” by Dan Forrest, “All My Heart This Night Rejoices” by Z. Randall Stroope, and “Is He Worthy?” by Andrew Peterson and Ben Shive.
The RCCB and choirs will combine to perform “The Christmas Song” by Mel Tormé, Leroy Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival” and a time honored Christmas classic “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah.

About Rochester Community Concert Band
The 90-member all volunteer Rochester Community Concert Band is conducted by Paul F. DeRubeis and includes adult community members and advanced high school students from greater Rochester and Rochester Hills as well as students from Macomb Community College. The RCCB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt organization; donations are accepted and greatly appreciated.
