The difference between a snapshot photo and a portrait? A picture is a photograph and a portrait has more depth than a snapshot picture because it tends to offer a story better than a snapshot does.
Pulling out a Mobile cam for some quick shots, to me… Yes, that’s a picture. It can turn out beautiful and probably even be a good representation of someone or something, but it’s still not a portrait. Why? A portrait can be a picture, but a picture isn’t a portrait.
While pictures can evoke emotion and can be as engaging as a portrait, they don’t have the same “finished” feel as a portrait. Pictures don’t often convey the same richness as a portrait nor tell a story as eloquently.
“Lifestyle” photography often means planning a time frame to capture a series of portraits and “Lifestyle photographers” (YOU!) will direct the subjects with minimal interference as opposed to Studio Photography.
We choose Lifestyle photography as it resembles reality, realism to our lives. Lifestyle family photography also captures the interaction between family members in a way… creating touching memories.
Essential Tools :
Digital cameras or Advanced PNS with ‘Manual’ or ‘Auto-override’ functions. Large aperture lenses of 50mm-200mm of f/1.4~f/2.8
Participating Photographers are encouraged to be seaters as well experiencing the 'other' role of being photographed further appreciate the condition of your subject's mentality and concerns.
