The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. The course includes the following certifications: Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid.
A pre-requisite swim test prior to signing up for the certification course is required. Please see our website for days and times. Cost of the swim test is $25 and will be applied to your certification, should you pass.
